OK, so I have spent several hours searching through existing posts for this particular issue - no luck. Here goes; About a week ago my clutch pedal went from perfect, to suddenly making a grinding noise when fully depressed. Everything still shifts fine, and I can depress the pedal far enough to get it started with no problem. But if I push it all the way down, it sounds and feels like I am pushing a pencil into a moving fan. The pedal also has a new vibration to it when it is all the way out, not big, just different. The car is a 2001, has about 145k on it, the fluid levels have been checked and all looks good, no warning lights are on. It still drives just fine. A repair shop said they would have to rebuild the clutch, and quoted a large $$ amount. I wanted to see if anybody had heard of this before I take that plunge. Has anybody ever heard of this before???
