| I've had my 2003 330i w/ auto-trans for about 2 months now. It's got just under 3K miles on it and everything's working fine, except...
After backing out of my driveway after a cold start (i.e. first thing in the morning), I shift from "R" to "D", then press the accelerator. There's about a 1-2 second lag before the gear seems to "kick in". Once it does, the car drives normally. But that lag doesn't seem right.
I'm not stomping the gas pedal, and the tranny is definitely in gear (I'm not stopping for a coffee break in "Neutral"). Also, it seems to happen only when the engine is cold. I don't hear the engine reving unrealistically either, but I'll have to take a peek at the tach next time it happens.
Has anyone heard about anything like this, or experienced themselves? Is it something I should worry about while it's still under warranty. Or is this just the way a cold bimmer engine behaves?
Thanks in advance for advice and tips!
