Hello, I have just ordered a silver gray 330ci w/ZHP, moonroof, nav sys, and alcantara interior for 36,650. I am in the military stationed in germany and hear that we are getting cheaper prices than in the states on us specs. I was wondering if how much people are paying in the states for a car like this, and does anybody have pics of their 330ci's with zhp. Thanks
I just picked up our new 330ci ZHP yesterday - we put in the order on 2/21 so it was a long wait. Paid $42K with moonroof, xenons, metallic paint...
I can't believe how this thing drive - it is very, very nice.
Does anyone know if the suspension on the ZHP is the same as that on the M3? On the window sticker it listed "M Sport Suspension" but I am not sure if it is the same as the M car. I'll post a couple of pics.
:thumbs nice... glad u made the right choice. smg on lower-end cars is usually quite jerky/slow in comparsion to a conventional manual, but once u get the to the 100k plus range the smg/tiptronic becomes quite smooth, (ex: a friend of mine owns a cl55 and the tiptronic transmission is superb, all the benefits of auto and manual in one cute little package.)
I don't think we have ZHP in the UK - I think its called simply sport and comes with the M stying bodywork , Mstyle wheels and black roof liner as well as a M style steering wheel and lowered suspension as well as a few other bits and bob's -
Anyway that's what I have ordered still waiting for a final date - dealer says August but I am hoping it will be early!!

Well I'm new to BMW (actually I won't pick up my Euro delivery Imola Red 330i ZHP until July) - but I can tell you that the suspension is not at all the same (as the M3). BMW individual has tweaked the 330 suspension for the (ZHP) performance package - it is considered to be M tuned - but it is not the same as the M3 (no where near has taught or as harsh). One of the reasons I am able to buy the 330 ZHP (vice the M) - besides the price - is that my wife feels that the suspension on our (lowered w/coilovers & 19" meats) 2001 Audi S4 rides too rough! Sure it does - but I'm not complaining!! The ZHP is significantly softer (with more body roll) then either my S4 or the M3 - yet it still handles very crisply - a very nice balance of comfort and performance - even my wife is satisfied! Can't wait for July and the chance to carve the Alps and zing along the autobahn in my new 330 ZHP!!!!
Has anyone ordered the 330i with Performance Package and SMG? While it seems this combination of option is unavailable when you try to build your bmw on bmw.com, the dealer I visited seems to think it can be done!
I test drove a 330ci which seemed to have the performance package (or what looked like a performance package with the front fenders, wheels, etc) and SMG (definitely!). If anyone has ordered this combination, could they post a note here!
I got a 325i, the zHP here is called M-Sport...same M kit, M sport suspension and the wheels. I got the SMG with it, 6 speed. It is nice...the normal mode is nice for city driving, but I still can't get used to how slow it shifts in normal mode. The sport mode is better, faster shifting, but not as smooth (which is fine). Although I think it shifts faster as you go up higher in the rev range.
I drove it in a circuit this past weekend...right after break-in. The car handles great, a little understeer when I try to accelerate out of slow corners...very well balanced on long sweeping turns. I have trouble trying to remember what gear I am in, and in one of the slower turns, I accidentally put it in 1st gear, and the engine went up all the way to the rev limit (ouch). On city driving, when I go slower, I hate it when the SMG shifts back to 2nd gear without my permisison, and when I am about to go, I shift down, and end up in 1st gear unexpectedly.
Over all, I still am happy with the SMG...but for track driving, nothing beats a stick shift, and a perfectly executed heel and toe Downshift!
Nice car and wheels Fishtale.
I got 325i and i bought same wheels rims+tires from dealership for $3k installed.
I can't see many BMW with the same wheels.
wow, that's a great deal on that car.... sticker on mine was just under $44k, but got it for around $40.5k, which I thought was a good deal... it's the 330Ci w/ performance package, xenons, and moon roof...
silver gray as well... must be a popular color for the first batch of zhp's
