330CI EML + Limp Mode

I have a 2005 330CI ZHP that will randomly go into limp mode with the EML light on no other lights just EML. Turning the car off and back on typically fixes it, but it is slowly getting worse.

Everyone I see online says check throttle position sensors, however I am unable to find them for the M54 engine, its like they don't have them on the engine, I was wondering if I should just replace my pedal position sensor? and more so if anyone had that part number.

I'm not sure if your problem is the same as mine. As mentioned I had removed my throttle body which caused my problem. But anyway I've got 2 suggestions.
1)According to the Bentley service manual (see 130-18) there's a procedure to reconfigure the EDK after it has been removed or replaced:
- Turn ingintion ON (do not start)
- Turn ingnition off for 10 secs
- Start engine

2)If that doesn't work try turning the ingnition to ON and pressing the accelerator until it stops and release. Do this several times. When I did this I heard some sounds as if the throttle was manually adjusting itself. The problem was history after that. I think I got that from the manual but I couldn't find it. Anyway, it worked.

Thanks for the advice reminded me to update the thread it ended up being a bad connection into the computer cleaned out the connectors and plugged it back in and have not had a problem in a month. I usually would be lucky to make it a full day.
