I purchaed a BMW 330 ci about a month ago, and every time I press the central locking on the keyfob to unlock the car, it makes a kind of electric noise which seems to be coming from the alarm!! I took the car back to BMW and they said they had sorted the problem, which they had for a while but recently it has started again.
It is very anoying as when you come to the car and press the unlock button, people always say "whats that noise" it drives me mad.
i sure as hell hope that you are not talking about the car locking when you tell it to, ya it is not silent. there is the sound of tiny electric motors and metal locking.
After the car is unlocked, the noise continues for about 8 seconds, then goes off when you are sitting in the chair. it is like a wirling sound (how hard is it to describe a noise!!)
You haven't mentioned it, but if your car has an SMG transmission, it will make a noise, every time you unlock the car or open a door/trunk, for about 10 seconds or less. If you have man or auto, ya got me!
Yes I have an SMG transmission or as they call it sometimes SSG for some reason!!! o right so thats what it is, and you say it is supposed to do that!! whats it doing? it sounds as if it not right.
