330Ci doors

I bought a 2001 330Ci coupe recently. I noticed the doors take quite a bit of a 'slam' to close. I'm getting annoyed that everytime a passenger goes to close their door I have to tell them that its not shut properly and to give it a bit of a slam.

Anyone else have this?

your door weather seals are going to go out. get them replaced by dealer under warranty. it is a known problem with E46 coupes

Mine has a problem with opening. I know on these cars you have to lift
up for them to open and not outwards like most cars, but it sticks so much sometimes, its like opening a truck. I have to get it fixed. As far as shutting the
door, I thought I had a problem there, later to find out that it has something to do with air control and sealing of the door. My last car did the same. Try this,
Open your door, make dhe your windows are completely open, shut your door how would normally want to (not slaming in other words). If this shuts no problem
than you know it has to do with the sealing and air pressure when shutting your
door and it is normal for this type of car to do this. It is considered a feature. It is like when you shut your door and your inside your car, the windows will go up about an inch and seal the car after you shut your door. Check it out next time and let me know.

Yeah, when my windows are down the door shuts 'easier'. So I take it its not a problem.
