I have a 330ci cabriolet, 2001. Its been stood for a few months, gone to start and it wont fire up. There is a spark, but I dont hear the fuel pump pressurizing the system, can anyone help.
well my theory is the isn codes are not being transmitted because the capacitor in the key may have discharged, the only way to recharge it is to let it sit in position 2 of the ignition switch....but like i said its just a thought
Found fuel pump relay in a relay block behind the glovebox. While doing a contortionist act in the passenger footwell, had a shower, turns out while the car has been standing condensation has built up in side, and covered the fuse box and relays. Cut a long story short, stuck a hairdryer on it for couple of hours, rebuilt all interior, except glovebox, turned the key, telltale sound of fuel pump pressurizing then bang off she went. I must admit I had already had her going by running a direct line to fuel pump from a spare battery. All's well that ends well. Thanks to all of you that spared the time to reply, hope I can be of help to you all someday.
