The way I run all my tires is I find where it says max PSI, usually with the max load for the tire, and take 10% off of the max PSI and that is what I run. For instance my new tires say max PSI 44, so 10%-44PSI= 40PSI.
Also this is the E21/E30 section, so I'll move this where it should be posted.
ciscokid is right the drivers door jam has all the tire pressures for all the size tires that are avaliable from BMW on that car. it has 2 pressure specs for each tire combo. one is for max vehicle weight and the other is Load up to the max vehicle weight. basically if you are pretty much the only one in the car most of the time ( you don't hawl around a car load of people evryday) or you don't load up the car all the time use the load up to spec.
be sure to check your tire pressures often atleast every other week to keep your tires from wearing out sooner than they should.
