330 Exterior Window Chrome On A 325?

im new to this forum... so please bare with me, please!! im from what most of you would call "the dark side" (proud mercedes benz owner)...

anyways.... a close friend of mine is on the market for a 330xi or 325xi. she seems to be leaning towards the 325 but is not too thrilled with the exterior black plastic/rubber around/above the windows in the 325.. as opposed the the chromed metal pieces around the same windows of the 330.

my guess is that this exterior chrome on the 330 can be put on the 325 rather easily and inexpensively..... as opposed to spending several more thousands of dollars when the more horsepower and other options are not a big deal (to her)... again, she only wants the chrome molding around the windows..

we have a friendly wager on this.... as stated before, i think it can be done!!! Where as she is firm and adamant that it can not be done........

i am wondering if any of you guys know if this can be done... if anyone has done this.... if you have pictures of your 325 w/ chrome.... and the approximate cost??

This can be done easily!!!
I bought an '05 325i and had them put it on. This was a mistake from manufacturing that they weren't on in the first place. My dealer put them on for free...it's called "bright trim". Or weather proofing. ON the order form the dealer wrote my windows were leaking, obviously weren't as it is brand new but I think that's how they avoid paying anything or have BMW Canada / North America pay for it. Let me know if you need anything else.

thats exactly what i wanted to hear.... THANKS goodgame.. would you mind sending me pictures or your car... if you have some.... possibly one left rear corner showing the 325 and the driver/passenger side windows....

all so, where are you located? us or canada... and if you dont mind, what is the name of the dealership.

I don't have any pics, but it looks exactly the same as the 330i or the 325CI and it's from a dealership in Canada. East Coast there is only one....good luck.
