328ci Won't Start

I have a 2000 328ci (which I might think about selling). I noticed the AC fan in front of the engine was running when I turned the car off. I though it would eventually turn off but when I tried to open up my doors in the morning my battery was dead.

I attempted to jump it. Once I attached the jumper cables the fan started running again I let the battery charge for like 20 minutes and tried to start it. Nothing.. turned the key and click click.

I think it maybe the starter or the AC sensor. I disconnected the AC Fan and still nothing. I know I need a new battery now but don't know why it won't start.

Appreciate any help available.

I`d say take a look at the fan resistor.Its mounted to the fan housing.Follow the wires from the motor to locate it.Personally, I think it is faulty modul on fan housing. Let me know!

Zibby said it well. You may have a bad fan resistor, or sensor/switch. You are not the first one to get this problem. Yes, your battery is probably not good anymore. You should be able to start your car with a good battery and the fan unplugged.
