320i SE Auto - Noise when cold an engage gear

Hi,

I have an E90 2006 320i SE Automatic in the UK.

When I start up when cold and engage gear, with my foot on the brake I get a horrible noise, however as soon as I start to move it goes.

It sounds as if it is on the passenger side (right hand drive car) underneath or to the front of the car.

If I hold my foot on the brake and increase the revs it goes. If I start up and let the engine warm, then engage gear there is no noise.

Are there any heat sheilds underneath that I should check?

Exhaust heat shields are certainly worth checking.
