320i e46 2004 fuel consumption help

i'm looking to save on fuel from my current car which is SsangYong Rexton RX280 with a 2.8L fully loaded with 4shifts-automatic it is a monster when it comes to gas goes about 100K/20L and i live in Jordan gas prices are hitting the roof and i work just to pay gas so i was thinking of buying the 320i 2004 i found a used one with manual gearbox and as i woreship BMWs i fell in love with it at once but i'm concerned about the fuel consumption in it as it has 2.2l engine most of my driving is in city about 90% city so does it pass around 200k/20L plz tell me what u can and plz don't use persentege 50% or so and i prefer metric figures i understand them easier thanks used:

City: 12.2 (13.5) l/100km
Highway: 6.9 (7.6) l/100km

Using your nomenclature, this would be:

City: 164 (148) km/20l
Highway: 290 (263) km/20l

Okay this does not sound right....you live in Jordan and the gas prices are high????!!!!! Why dont you take a shovel and dig in your back yard.....voila....you have your own gas supplu for life!.....just kiddin bro....the gas consumption sucks on bimmers especially the older ones so there is basically nuthing you can do to change that except replace the 3 engine with a toyota prius maybe??? LOl
