320ci Vs 320i - BMW Forum

I searched the net and asked around a bit but I still can't find the answers I want. I'd like to know all the differences between the two models; 320ci and 320i, production date 2002-Current.

1. Are there any engine differences? I know that both come with 2.2l straight six 24valve engines is that correct?

2. Is there a 320ci with a 2.0l (1998cc) engine?

3. What are the main body differences?

4. What are the interior differences?

There is no 320ci with 2.0l engine. Both 320i and 320ci E46 were produced with 2.2l (2171ccm) up to 2004. diff . betwen them is, 'CI" 2 door coupe model and "I" is 4 door sedan.Although Bmw introduced new 3 series E90 2005, 320i which is equiped with 2,0l (1995ccm), and "ci" models come as 318 ( same 2.0l engine as 320i) 330 and 330cd(diesel).

hmmm nice... What about the body differences? I'm talking about the E46 line of models

What do you mean body differences? I think the 2-door/4-door distinction should answer that question. Anyway, the Ci coupé is a little bit longer and heavier. The front bumpers are different, with the coupé having slightly sportier looks. The aero kits vary with model year across the board, however.

are there 2 liter e46 available in canada? diesels too???

No, these models are not available in Canada .BTW , I just cheked BMW Mexico internet site and found out, they have for sale much more diff. models as we in Canada and USA. Another thing what really piss me off, Bimmers sold in Mexico have no speed limmiter installed. 330 model has max speed 156mph(250 km/h) and 325 max speed is 153mph (245km/h), so they really can enjoy , what they pay for !

^^ Yep. I think Latin America gets Euro-spec vehicles, incuding all the vehicles in the Euro lineup. All the cars I saw while in Honduras looked euro-spec. I saw a Dinan e36 M3 that I really would have loved to drive, because I am almost certain that it was the 320hp Evo.

Just moved to London for a year and streets are full of M3's & 330ci's... Can't wait to get one (at least the humble 320ci)
