318i e46 suspension problems - BMW Forum

hey guys i have a 318i e46 with suspension prblems the mech i have taken it to said it has one of the struts have colapse and i need new suspension, he has given me a list of brands to choose from and one of his recomendations is hot tuning im wondering has anyone has any experience with this brand and r they any good, he said they r pretty good and cheap but i wouldnt trust a mech in nth queensland as far as i could throw the guy so yea, HELP!!!!!

well did you just need a new sturt or do you need the spring with it?

it should be pretty cheap for just the strut (around $300.00) and it should be fairly easy for you to do it...

nah im gonna replace the whole thing, the spring is very week and gives out when goin ova speed bumps to so yea replacing and it would be cheaper for me to do all 4 then to do one now and then find i need to do the rest next year and i kno i can do it myself but bieng in nth queensland australia there isnt a whole lot of brands to choose from mainly alot of crap from wreackers so yea

wow. that's a lot of work for just one strut going out...

replacing all four of them is going to be kind of expensive....

yea i kno thats y im looking for a decent set yet fairly cheap and to get a dsecent set ill be paying through the nose for shipment, now i do have a set of bc that i can get for around 1,300 and i kno they r good, u may not kno the brand tho
