yeah its a shame the 5 had some bugs, especially with the active steering, but nothing too major from what ive been hearing. the new 3 series, e90, will probably come out in 06 as a sedan if bmw follows the tradition theyve kept since the e30-e36 transition. mid 2006 or 07 will bring the coupes, next the cabrios, then around 2008 the new M3 should be unleashed. some think the 2 door variants will be called the 4 series after seeing the 5-6 series relationship, but i think as long as theyre both e90's they should all be called 3series

when is the 1 coming to the u.s. ?
Bangle = Yuk. I am certainly glad the current rendition is the last bastian of the typical design family. I think the new 7 and 5 cars look so mainstream now and I DONT want that. Technologically they stomp their counterparts but looks-wise they dont inspire a passion in me like the old 7 especially did.
I think BMW is smart to take their time in toying with their bread and butter car in the US anyway.
YEA! Alot of posts are getting deleted!!...err not. I signed up for this forum two days ago and posted some stuff. When I went to work the next day my posts were gone, and my name was unrecognized!!! I reregistered and when I came home my original posts were back and someone had replied to it! THEN, two hours later I refreshed the page and my NEWEST posts were back! I dont know what the hell the deal was but it was freakin me out. Seems to be ok so far tho.
I am new to this board....(mostly because my company has put internet filters on Roadfly & Bimmerfest).
I drive a modified 323Ci.
Anyway, according to an internal production schedule that I got from my dealer, as well as text translation from an article in Auto-Zeitung magazine, the E90 is supposed to be released in the Spring of 2005. My dealer seems to think that the 2005 model year for the E46 in the U.S. will be shortened to three months, upon which time the E90 will begin production as an early 2006 model.
