3 Series Hp/tq Vs. Other Cars

hey guys i'm looking into buying an e46 3 series, hopefully a 323i, with a manual tranny and i was wondering how quick these things actually are. Like what is a quarter mile on one of these and what other cars would they keep up with. thanks

323s arent the fastest things on the face of the earth, but they can hold there own around turns. Low 7s for 0-60

thanks guys, i rode in one this weekend and it seemed it had more go than most vehicles. and i am planning on doing some of the things that woobiee listed, but how much would this stuff cost me. thanks also would it stay up with a mustang gt or any other of the sports cars like that. thanks again

i also forgot to ask, how many gears can you burn rubber in one. just curious to get an idea of how much power it has.

My 2000 323i will do 0-60 in 7.1 sec. pretty good for only 170hp. The New Altimas with 250+hp do the 0-60 in 7.5. The BMW has a lot of Pep, great handling, But don't go out there thinking you can beat a New Mustang (GT or Cobra) those things were built for just speed.
