2008 328I Body Work - Advise

I own a 2008 BMW 328I. I made some small scratches and a dent in my right back door. when I was pulling my car into garage.

I took my car to BMW dealer. they said they have to change the door and estimated approximately $2700. I got the estimation from the dealer( Mini ) where I bought my car. They gave me a estimation of $1300.

so I am little confused now about the price difference. Also confused, where to take my car for repair. any suggestion and advice is greatly appreciated.

The dealerships are huge rip offs. Dont waste your time taking your car their.

Depending on the dent, it can be fixed with Paintless Dent Repair (PDR). They are usually able to pop the dent out so its no longer visible.

As for the scratches, run your finger nail over them. If your nail glides over smoth its just the clearcoat that has been scratched. If your nail catches then its down into the paint.
