The upcomming design for the 3-series will be '06 right? So will they badge E46's 2005? I'm just wondering because I don't know when I should get a new car, I'm assuming if the E46's are badged as '05 models, then the deals the dealers are offering would be gone by that time. When's the best time for me to get a 3 series? I like the E46... I'm not waiting for the E90 whatsoever (even though it's not bad). I waiting for their clearance for '04 models, but I don't know when that'll be because apparantly, the interest rate went up a tad... so I'm guessing the clearance prices would be a bit later for 04 models?

any advice would be appreciated, I'm kind of in the dark now

well, you'll find the lowest price options for the '04s right before the '05s are in the market (they are constructed in aug, in show rooms by late sept). also, the best time to purchase is at the very end of the month, thats when dealers are quickly trying to sell to reach their quotas and will offer better deals. I just bought my '04 330Ci on 6/29/04 and paid only $200 over invoice without any negotiations.

If this were true, the new 3 series would be hitting showrooms in the next month or two. And we all know it's further off than that.

The E90 will be available sometime in 2005, as a 2006 model. The 2005 model year 3 series will still be the E46.

Several dealerships have confirmed that the 2005 models will be E46.

if we havent heard any official releases or advertisements about it yet, im guessing the e90 wont be hitting the showrooms anytime in the near future. looks like theyre trying to kill us with anticipation, personally i think its going to be a lot more pimp than we all expect

I was thinking that the 2005 would still be the e46 also, I'm planning on getting the car at the end of next month.

I'm not sure when the e90 will be comming out, but when I asked the salesperson at the dealer, he said that the upcomming model wouldn't be here until mid to late 05, that was his "estimation". He didn't mention anything about 05 e46's, but I'm assuming that it would be the case. I think I'll just go with the 04's since it would pretty much be the same as the 05's anyways.

thanks for the replies.

The E90 model 2006 will arrive in sept or october 2005 for the 4 doors and later like december 2005 for the coupe.

For the 2005 E46 I heard the sunroof and maybe leather won't be an option.

one more question, if I have to factory order a car right before the 05 models arrive, would they price it as a 05 model since when the car arrives, the 05's would be out already? Also, since the E90 will almost arrive, would the 05 model even have a big price difference?
