2005 325i Gasoline Question

i add 91 gas for full, and how many miles should it run?
i think my is turn out about 250 miles...

I have been able to get 320 miles using 92 octane

Mileage depends on many things, besides the Octane:
- City driving (stop-n-go) vs. Highway driving with cruise control
- In city driving, conservative driving vs. aggressive driving
- Proper tire pressure in all 4 tires
- Air Filter, Fuel Filter, Ignition components good ?
- Do you have 200 lbs of stuff in the trunk?
Don't laugh, there are people who carry their lafe savings in their car
eventhough they don't ever touch any of that stuff.
and probably many more...

On my '97 328i, I get 22 MPG in the city and 32 MPG on the highgway.
My tires are all ALWAYS properly inflated. Air Filter, and Fuel filter are new/clean. Spark plugs are new, ignition coils are good.

I have an '05 325 (under 7k miles total) and when all highway driving, I can get a little over 400 miles from a full tank.

On a couple recent 300 mile (each way) trips to Orlando and back, I typically get 29+mpg with an average speed of 81 mph.

For combined weekly driving to/from work, about a 35 mile trip each way, I get between 24 to 26 mpg and have an average speed of about 48 mph.

I'm lovin' it compared to my '01 Jetta.

BTW, I use premium gas, and have a Steptronic tranny.

So ,some of you guys use regular gas on E46 engines ? It is ridiculous !!!
