I am sucessfully using the Bluetooth functionality in my 2005 325i with a Motorola v551 phone. However, I'm still wondering a few things:
1) Voice Activation does not work. If I "hold down" the call button on my steering wheel, nothing happens. Any ideas as to how to turn this function on?
2) The system automatically terminates a phone call after 4 rings without an answer. It's a little annoying when I want to leave a voice mail for somebody. Is there a way to adjust this?
3) I've heard that there is a way to program "preset" calling buttons on the radio dial for quick dialing. Anybody know how to do this?
4) Why has BMW done such a poor job in promoting this and providing documentation to new owners. Does anybody know where I can find a 2005 325i Bluetooth User Manual? BMW did not supply one with the car, and the Dealership doesn't know when they will have them.
Any help would be appreciated.
Your phone might not be fully compatible with the car module so all features may not be available. There are several sites ouot there with info on compatible phones. http://www.bmwnav.com/bluetooth.htm http://golilm.com/DIY/Bluetooth/ http://www.advancedautovations.com
