I live in Canada and I just purchased a 2005 BMW 3.2.5i with the "M" Sport Package. I put 2911KM on it and today was the first "race" I was involved in. I was heading home from a friends on the freeway going about 110 kkm in a 80 zone. I passed a similar BMW 3 Series and thats when we started to have some fun. Now I was just wondering, because this is my first BMW not to mention new car, should I take it easy on the engine, wheels, and brakes for awhile? I must have put the RPM's at maybe 4500 to 5000 and there were times where I had to brake a little hard but not excessive. I just want to know how to treat this BMW good.
