I had to repair my window regulator, and disconnected the passenger side air bag in the process. Now my airbag light on the dash is staying on. Is there an easy way to reset the light? I see some reset lights available out there, but they don't look compatible with the 2004 model year.
You will prob have to get it cleared, Just call shops near you to see if they can do it for you. I just reset mine yesterday with a snapon modis computer.

you have to get it plugged into a diagnostic computer and have the air bag light reset
And remember the next time that you are doing work around the SRS system like the air bags. It's a good idea to disconect the battery. A) so the light wont come on and b) there is a chance the bags can go off while your fiddleing with it. Don't reconect the battery until everything is hooked up again.
Yes like everyone else has said you'll need to take it into either the dealer or an Independant Mechanice that deals with Euro/BMW. Good Luck.

For sure, that is what I did. I disconnected the battery and also disconnected the airbag. What I did was I reconnected the battery to check out the window operation, and left the airbag unplugged. That is what caused the airbag light to come on..
