2003 330xi sunroof motor

I have determined that part # 54 10 7 134 073 will need to be purchased to repair my problem, but the question is... should i purchase a new motor also 67616928756 since it clicks grinds when the garbage catches in the track? I do get a small amount of smooth movement of the glass without the gears slipping between the binding. Looking for that experienced opinion

After removing the motor and looking at the gears they are rounded and worthless. Now the second question is do you think the worm drive gears that move slide the arms making the window move would be shot ??? thinking about getting a salvage window cassette any thoughts ???

I look at it is this: Why open the sunroof up more then once? If you think its busted up, replace it now before you have to do it twice. The gears got rounded and stripped somehow and you should find out why.
