| 2003 325i steptronic problems

So everything else on the car works fine. No problems with the automatic shifting...but when I bump the shifter to the left to start the steptronic shifting the display does't change from "D". Shifting up and down seems to have no effect either. No change on the display no change in gear shifting...the light next to the manual shift does't come on, on the gear shift either. It almost feels as if there was a button pressed somewhere to deactivate the steptronic shifting.
What kid of potential problems am I looking at? Bad transmition? Electrical issue? Or something not quite as bad? Someone take pity on this noobie and run me through some possibilities. |
