2002 E46 Sliding Sunshade Repair

Yes...

Ok so the shade stops moving and I pull up a FAQ on replacing the springs and tabs on both sides.

Once everything is together and I check operation before putting the glass back in I see that the sunshade regulator jumps the rear tab every time. The sunshade does not appear to be binding, and I am out of ideas.

check and see that the springs are the right spec. difference in tension makes all the difference.

check the plastic pieces that run along the rails... if those are worn or missing, the regulator will surely jump off track.
