2002 325i Sunroof Problem - BMW Forum

Hello everyone! My sunroof doesn't seat/seal completely. It pops up and down correctly, but doesn't seat completly in the passenger side rear corner. It's about 1/2 inch below the roofline. It sags or drops to down on the right side. Additionally, there are grinding/cracking noises when I try to open the sunroof to the rear and close it again. Is there more than one problem here? HELP!

My guess is a worn linkage for the tilt function.

I believe you can also adjust the height yourself. It could just need an adjustment.

I checked to make sure the sunshade worked correctly. It appears to operate smoothly. I'm going to remove the sunroof glass and take a look in the next couple of days. Is there a link that someone could post that shows the detail of the tilt function/linkage? Thanks for all of your posts everyone! This is a great forum!
