2002 325i brake pedal ouestion

when you mash the brake pedal you here a swishing air sound coming out from from under the dash, what could the problem be.

I don't know, maybe your pushing way to hard and putting the pedal all the way through the floor?

Is this new? I used to have the same thing on my E36 328i, but I don't recall if I ever did anything to change that or whether it ever went away. Check under the hood to ensure that the brake fluid reservoir cap is on tight.

Is there a lot of play on the brake pedal, or is it pretty stiff? Stiff is good. Spongy brakes are a sign of air in the system, which is fixed by flushing/replacing/bleeding brake fluid, but I may be looking at this whole thing from the wrong point of view

what about the pressure switch would this cause this, the first thing people say is you have a air leek when they first hear this, it is that loud. No not mashing to hard!

Either the master cylinder or the brake booster going.

Brakes seem to be working fine, but i guiss it could be a brake booster
