My 2001 330CI is exactly 4 years old from manufacture date and at 60K miles. So like a conscientious owner I take the car in for the Inpsection II service. Everything seems cool until I get a call from a service advisor later in the day telling me that my "Control Arms and Bushings" are loose and falling apart and need replacing.

Of course I want the car in tip-top so it will last as long as it can, so tell them to go ahead with the service since I don't know any better. I rarely horse around with the car at all, I think I had it up to 110 once (don't laugh). I don't take turns fast or tight neither. I googled the topic and seems like this is something that shouldn't have needed to be done at 60,000 miles, especially with my conservative driving habits.
The deed is done, but I just wanted some professional opinions on my situation (don't like to be taken). I've come to know and trust my dealer, but this just seemed odd. I must admit though, I thought I drove a new car off the lot when I picked it up.
