| 2000 328 ci o2 sensors
New to the forum, and I don't own a bmw. I will fill out my profile tomorrow. I scanned my mother-in-laws 2000 328 ci with an automatic (she's 82)..anyway..I wanted to hook her car up to my VAG_Com to see what I could see, as it talks to my vw tdi and my Mercedes CLK 430 and e320 4matic. Bimmer seems to speak more closely to VW than the MB's. anyway... My question is how many o2 sensors are on that car? My vag-com found an emissions failure, I tested her 02 sensors and B1S1 shows 4.5 volt and 3% rich, same for B2S2 but B2S1 and b2s2 show not available... SHe told me her check engine light was on and had 2 o2 sensors replaced a month or so ago (for $500). Could it be the other 2 failed? If so, she has no check engine light. I know on my other cars the o2 sensors fail like crazy. If some one could clue me in on the inline 6 I would appreciate it. If you want the exact report, I can copy and past it in the forum tomorrow.

Forgot the best part of the story, she actually had to drive the car around the block to make sure I didn't break her precious car that NEVER goes north of 50 mph. |
