Hey everybody! New to the forum and BMW's in general. Can anybody tell me how many watts the standard cassette deck puts out on a 2000 323ci? The deck is NOT the premium option, just the standard. The deck controlls a 6 disc changer in the trunk, if that makes a difference. Also there are two speakers in the door panels, two in the rear deck, and what looks like tweeters in the rear trim panels. Thanks, any help is appreciated.

You can find the info on the unit itself. You can pry off the woodgrain around the unit with a screwdriver to access the unit. Be careful not to pry too hard, b/c you can easily crack the woodgrain. I have hte same car and I took my casette out and put a cd unit in. I will look at home tonight to try to find my old casette deck to avoid you having to take the deck out. I'll get back to you.
I checked mine out and unfortunately, the wattage info is not listed on the unit itself. Have you checked in the owners manual yet? If that info is not in there, I suggest you call the stealership where it was originally purchased and give then the VIN # so they can look up the information for you. Sorry, I couldn't help. Good luck!

Thanks for checking, I appreciate it! There is no info in any of the owners manuals, so i guess i'll bite the bullet and hit the dealer. Thanks again for checking!
