Cool 1999 328i skid plate

Am looking for OEM, aftermarket, used options for a skid plate for 1999 328i (E46). Can anyone help me?

Metal or plastic?

OEM: Pelican Parts, Bimmerworld

Aftermarket: ECS Tuning, Turner Motorsports

Depending on what your definition of a skid plate is you may have to have one custom made. Unless your refering to the plastic tray that connects to the bumper.

Thanks for the pointers, I'll check them out!

Either plastic like the OEM or an aftermarket metal one would be fine. The plate I'm talking about is right under the engine with camlock fasteners in front and screws in back. The front tucks up under the air dam. The front fasteners came loose on the highway, plate started flapping and beat itself to death against the road. Could probably do without it altogether, but it does provide a bit of protection to the oil pan as well as keeping out road grime and reducing drag.

Should be part #22 in this diagram right?

RealOEM.com BMW E46 328i Air duct

Pelican Parts should have it.

Nope, that's not the part however I did find and order the correct part at Pelican. I've had a BMW continuously since '85 but never knew about Pelican......great parts source, thanks for pointing me to them.

Based on what your meaning of a skid dish is you may have to have one customization. Unless your referring to the tray that joins to the fender.
