17 Digit VIN for 323ia

We have a BMW323ia and i trying to find the 17 digit VIN number. I was tod it was on the strut tower but the number there is only 7 digits EW93157. BMW in Thailand is tell us that partisular model only had a 7 digit VIN but that is impossible i think any thoughts??? i think it is a 2002

Bottom courner of the windshield...(dont know which side...)

Definately not inside the windscreen. That is the first place i looked.

That is true, in Thailand they use 7 digit numbers and this number from strut tower is good one for your car.

BTW BMW VIN # has 17 characters,but for decoding we use last 7 characters

Thanks a lot we are trying to import the vehicle to Australia. The decoder will help greatly i think.
