Just got my first BMW: Black '02 325i with Sport Package, has 17" factory alloys. What an upgrade from my '89 Volvo 240 DL with 201k miles on it!
Since Winter is fast approaching here in Boston I would like to find a used set of 16" factory alloys with snow tires. Will they fit? I know Tire Rack sells after market 16's that they say will fit. The two local BMW dealers that I called gave me conflicting answers. One said it needs to be treated like a 330i and go with 17" winter package the other had a 16" winter pacakage that said would fit. Need Help.
I am with alloy 16"rims and tires/205/55/16/They fit perfect.I put them yesterday because in Bulgaria is already winter. Before that I was with 18"rims and tires/255/35/18/Now its much better and I have no problems with them
On my 2000 328 sport package, I run 17" 225/45 in the summer and 205/55 16" in the winter. The winter tires fit nicely and look almost the same in the wheel well. I run steel wheels in the winter.

The only reason 16's may not fit is if your brake system is too large (rotors or calipers). Otherwise, so long as the bolt pattern is 5x120, you should be OK.
MarksBMW, thanks, just one of many, many here. You'll see some really pampered machines here, and some cars that are meant to just devour the pretenders and wannabe's.
What interior do you have?

Jarhead: I have black leather interior, how about you? Also, my wheels are a little different than yours. They are factory BMW wheels with 7 spokes but each spoke has a raised line down the middle of it. They are starting to gorw on me. Someday I'll post a picture.
Saw a middle aged woman in an e36? today. Looked like an M3 clone from the side but I was blown away when I saw the M3 badge on the rear. I think it was real. It just didn't look right, I mean the woman not the car.
Jarhead: your interior looks really sharp. Mine is a little different on account of the premium package. In place of your aluminum trim mine has wood grain. I can see you have the sport seats as well. Do you love em or what?
