16 Vs 17" Rims

2005 325XI

I have stock 16" rims and tires on it. I am interested in knowing if upgrading to 17" is worth the extra cost?

My driving behavior is pretty typical-work, home, etc. nothing exciting here

I don't think you will see much difference performance wise, it is really a matter of preference. If you like the look of the 17's and they are worth the $ in your opinion, then buy em. I skipped the 17's and went from the 16's to 18's. 16's in sig and 18"s in pic

I did just that...
Kept stock wheels for winter, bought BMW OEM 17"

My winter tires on 16" rim weighs as much as summer on 17". No advantage there.
Car feels firmer on in the turn, but we are talking aggressive driving style.

Looks defenitly different. I wouldn't go for higher then 17": tire cost; road hazards, not to the tires: to the rims
