Hi guys,

I have an opportunity to purchase this vehicle at a toyota dealership for what i think is a pretty good deal. $20,000 inc. tax and extended warranty for $2100 for 3yr 72k. Car was shipped up from Cali with only 33k miles

Ive heard from alot of ppl that the servicing is quite expensive, what would you say im looking at for a ballpark for regular maintenance and at what km. Oil changes, tranny oil, brakes, oxygen sensor, spark plugs and that sort of thing. Ive been reading abit and shows that oil changes are about every 8000km full synthetic which is ok with me. But worry about the "large" maintence regime.

Also I assume i never have to change the timing chain on it correct?
This would be my first BMW so sorry about the newb questions.

That is top dollar for that car and it has low mileage so you shouldn't have to worry about a big maintenance regime. That car isn't really even broken in yet for that year and those low miles.

I personally would waste my money on the extended warranty. The car is in the window that the mileage is so low that you'll probably never use that warranty on a major item. And if a major item fails then you would reserve that $2100 toward that repair bill. Just my .02.

thx for your opinion. I pick up the car tomorrow so im very excited to own my first BMW

I decided to get the extended warranty anyways cause well im just scared something major will happen if i dont... lol, maybe im a sucker, but for the piece of mind I went for it.

I aways get extended warrantys on any high cost item.
