04 325ci i went to replace a 02 sensor now IM stumped

I went to replace the 02 sensors in my 325ci with a universal 02 sensors and discovered that they were 5 wire while my universal plugs were 4 wire. Me being retarded i cut my original plug first. so i went on the autozone website and the only universal plug that came up for my car was a 4 wire. long story short i cut, spliced and left one wire open. I cleared the check engine light and started it up. Now the trans is in limp mode, this seems to much of a coincidence to be a separate problem. I order the sensors with a harness and plugs, its going to take a couple of days to get here. I hope that's it. trans was fine last night nothing out of the ordinary. Anybody else have this problem. Id appreciate any input.

I posted this couple days ago now Im getting different codes i have no idea whats going on. heres a couple of screenshots

i had a similar problem and noticed that the smallest thing makes the tranni goes to lump mode.. after u changed the sensor , the problem might not go away rite away if that , some times it takes acouple of on n off cycle before the cpu realizes the problem is not there any more.. let me know how it works out..plus i see the screen u have up and the code , doesnt look to bad , and the one with tranni control module.. dont change that ..at least not yet ..cause many thing sets off that code.. everyone always see that code and changes that tranni module.. do the o2 sensor first..

Definitely go back to the OEM harness and sensor first. Hopefully all goes away after a few cycles with the OEM setup.

I just replaced the o2 sensor but it still says 02 sensor number 1 low voltage and the trans module code, i only replaced the one i messed with is sensor # 1 close to the radiator or close to the fire wall i replaced one near the radiator. Maybe i should replace the other one i was going to do it anyways, I tryed to erase the trans module but says the ecu refuses to erase that code or requires to have key cycled. which Ive tried. do you have to hold it in the on or off position a certain amount of time to cycle the key or is on and off real quick. I don't want to keep throwing parts at it
