'03 Performance package

I drove a used (May '03) 330ci and really liked it. How can I tell if the performance package is included - or was it even available? This car is not for sale at a BMW dealership ....so salesman seems to be clueless. From a quick look....the car has 18" 255s on rear, appears to lower suspension, 5 spd manual. Any definitive way to tell?

pretty sure all ZHP 330s comes with a 6spd manual.

They also come with alcantara M steering wheel and seats. Gauges are black with white lettering and red needles with silver rings...The redline should be a bit higher too. Shift boot and ebrake boots are both alcantara. The headliner should be anthrasite or black headliner and not the usual gray.

i dont think bmw offered the performance package on coupes in 03.

to me, the most obvious things that would stand out would be the M-technic kit+wheels and the 6speed. what you described just seems to be the sport package with the optional 18" wheels

ZHP (performance package) was not available on 2 door's in '03, only the 4 door. In '04 however, it was available on the coupe and convertible, and came with an auto if you wish (only 6 speed in '03).

As for the differences, at least in stock form it's easy to tell - M technic body kit, 18 inch wheels (255's in the rear instead of 245's), alcantra steering wheel, red needles on the dash, 6800 redline instead of 6500, etc.

Give the VIN number to a dealer and they can tell you.
