03 330i Trans

Hey I noticed on my friends 2003 330i w/Sport and Premium packages....
The auto trans sometimes takes off from a stop in 2nd gear. It doesn't do it all the time. Is this somethin the car normally does when the driver isn't on the gas much or something? Maybe something wrong with car? Also when sitting at a light and you pull the shift lever to sport mode you will feel the car kinda jerk as if the trans shifted back to 1st gear. Other than this occasionally happening the trans and car are perfect. Thanks

benzes also start from 2nd. i think this is normal, and software related. i drove an automatic once ( ), and it did what you describe (330i loaner).
