bmw 318i se is an unknown quantity at this point

can some one tell me where my o2 sensor is located and how many i have and what mileage should i change many thanks.

i have a 318i se on a 98 plate.

I can tell you the E39 has 4 O2 sensors: 2 precat located on the manifold wired to a coupling on the top of the head, 2 aftercat located on the exhaust pipe wired to a plastic box on the left side of the car.
