i had a big long post but then my computer locked up.
so the short version . . .
ive been into asian cars for some time now and am currently trying to sell my integra to get an E36 325i. i would like to build the cost of a supercharger into my loan.
i am wondering what you guys have to say about the superchargers out there. active autowerkes, dinan, etc. i have been looking at them all day and they seem to put out very close to the same power. within 10HP of them all.
again, i am new, very first post, so if this is in the wrong forum, i do appologize.
Sorry i cant be much help with question, (no personal experiance with BMW superchargers) but i just wanted to drop u a line and say welcome to the forum! if u have free time its worth it to poke around some old posts lots of great info here, even on stuff u didnt realize u were interested in . again welcome and sorry i cant help with the question!

If I was to pick a SC I'd go with Active Autowerks for sure. I like AA's support much better then Dinan's. Plus it prooves to be 10hp more then the dinan. Welcome and can't wait to see the car...
in all honesty if you do go supercharge, than either dinan or AA are good choices. Dinan is factory approved, AA is just as good. either way you go , its a wise choice.
like i say, i have to ditch my integra and possibly my offroad ranger toy.
but it will all be worth it in the end. ive been wanting a bimmer since i was 18, im now 21. and i think an E36 325i isnt too big of a starter car.
and im fascinated with AA. i dont know if anybody has seen any "Teckademic" movies. but real good friends of mine from Viginia know Dado and his yellow M3. its a wicked car. and he took his car to CDOC and Active Autowerkes. and i am very impressed with his car.
and thanks for the warm welcome. always comforting on the very first post at a new place.
I am in Kansas City, MO. It is good to have more of us Missourians here. Everyone seems to be from one coast or another.
I like the Active Autowerkes SC.
You should look for a 325is or 328is (2 door coupe). It just feels like more of a sports car(although it is not really faster, well unless you supercharge the thing).
Also look around the forum, you will find alot of info about making your car faster and better. It is probably discussed in some way at least once a day just in this section.
Hey man, welcome to the forums. Now I'm not trying to criticize your choice of cars, but how much are you looking to spend on a 325? You might want to buy an M3 if you are going to be spending that much to supercharge a 325. You'd have better suspension, better looking car (body kit), and a car that will always be wirth more than a supercharged 325. Just my two cents...
for the 325 there is no way you cant go AA. best quality product IMHO. anyways i hope everything works out for ya, and i hope you do end up supercharging the 325, that car would move!
I'd be surprised if anyone here hasn't seen the teckademics movies. My personal choice would be AA. You don't need any more factory approved shit, your car is 11 years old.
Knowing that you like the teckademics movies then (i know this is bad for the forum) I recomend you check out www.dtmpower.net Here you will find a lot more comprehensive help with forced induction, but beware as most of the people there are ignorant people who's respect is near impossible to earn. If you really want a community i'd recomend you spend most of your time here and only go there for the serious F/I questions.

i do agree. you guys have been very nice so far. its stuff like that, that makes me keep coming back to a forum. again, thanks for the welcome
i was just thinking of something this morning. and instead of using another thread i can just milk off my noob thread.
with a 325 or 328 . . . do transmissions matter as far as performace? i am seeing a lot of automatics for sale around me. but in the same matter, im an adrenaline junkie and would like a 5 speed. but if you all say they are the same, then ill just be able to find a car that much quicker and start driving. but either way, drop your words of wisdom!
A 5 speed is just more plain fun to drive in my opinion. I waited and kept looking for a while before I found my car, because I would absolutely not buy an automatic.

Good luck. I looked on Autotrader.com for a while before I found my car. 325is coupe black with 5 speed. I found it in Oklahoma City which from KC is a little under 5 hours. Do a search within 300 miles and I am sure you will find something in Missouri or close by.
