I just changed the oil and reset the service lights on my 2001 325i. Now the yellow oil level light comes on for 10 seconds after I start the car and then turns off. It does not come back on the entire ride in the car but if I turn the engine off and restart it, sure enough it comes back on for 10 seconds... Anyone seen this? Anyone have any ideas?
Well, the engine is started for about 5 seconds before it comes on. It then stays on for 10 seconds, then off. It never did this before this oil change...

First of all, you have an E46, not an E36. Second of all, have you checked the oil level?

Sorry, I thought I was still in the E46 section. As for the oil level, it is perfect.
