My friend has just lowered his WRX by swapping the stock springs...
Anyone know if his spares will fit a 318is '94 - rather than try to fit them or contact Subaru again I thought I would ask here first as some of you have good WRX contacts
btw, his Subaru dealer said "suck it and see" and another said "probably"
This is a free set of springs which MUST be better than the stock '94 ones I have in my girl if they will fit...they might even lower the car a little
Can anyone help...I know it's a long shot but hey, if you dont ask...

I have no idea if it works. You might try it on the rear first, as they're the easier of the 2 to get to. Let us know if it works out, though!
The WRX suspension is completely different. The fronts are struts on both cars, but the WRX has huge travel. The rear is not the same at ALL...just look and see. This will *not* work.
haha damn man do you know anything about cars? there's a reason the springs were made for a WRX and not BMW. *sigh* why the hell would you even want to put some rice springs on a BMW??/ that's a no no man.

I dont know if you have noticed but that "rice" WRX you are talking about has a pretty good set up - I mean, it's not a fricking Honda civic we are talking about - you can shove your "damn man do you know anything about cars?" right up your ignorant arse - I bet you're the man when it comes to cars and know everything there is to know - which is why you came back with your informative post - post something constructive in future or shut the flock up
I personally think it's one of the dumbest ideas ever. Aside from the suspension travel issue, the WRX has a different weight distribution, which affects spring weight, on top of which the WRX has a different suspension layout so it's not even guaranteed that the springs will be the right diameter, let alone the right weight or length or progressiveness, etc.

someone else said that the world being round was also a dumb idea!
is wrong with you guys. BlackBMW your language is bang out of order, if you can't say something without the aid of expletives best you put a sock in it, AND you American boys, you're not banging down doors in Falluja here you know, try being a little more open minded a little less racist (NyteRyda) and whole lot more constructive.
Perhaps whoever the hell is supposed to be monitoring this string should like to say something here or perhaps I should just go look for a forum where like minded people want to help each other without the need for making them feel stupid.
