well here is what the dealership told. I can either return the car and get a different one, or get my trade back. Now I can tell the guy does not want to put the money into fixing the car from what it looks like. I saw a wrx 03. How would that compare to say like a 3 series. Real specs even though its not a bmw.
Subaru is famous for understeer. It won't outhandle your bmw stock.

wrx is just a performance upgraded economy car. get inside and youll notice it performs pretty well, but it still looks and feels like an economy car inside and out.

Very well said.
In other words, the BMW is nicer, yet more expensive and more refined. The WRX can give you just as much driving fun, cheaper, but with some upgrades that you would need to get it to the BMW's stock level - but it will also look cheaper.
I hate understeer with a passion, very unpredictable and the only way to recover from it is to strighten up the wheels and let off the gas to transfer weight. Oversteer is sooooo much fun....
