Windshield Wipers will not Turn off.

I have not found a fix for this yet, windshield wipers started to come on out of nowhere and would not turn off.

Seems the problem is at its worse now, if my windshield wiper fuse is not unplugged. Then my windshield wipers will be on and no way to turn them off.

Ive tried all the usual things. I do not think it is the switch inside the steering column, because jiggling it and pushing/messing with it does not affect the wiping at all.

I am able to make it go REALLY fast, but the slowest they go is about medium speed. It wont turn off.

Just my luck, its the same fuse to my radio so I do not have any music.


If ANYONE has had this problem, or you are an EXPERT at Bimmer electronics, then please help me out.

I don't even think my local mechanic would know what to do.

Could be a bad or sticking wiper relay. Under the left side dash you'll see a group of relays like in the picture below. Relays 2 & 3 have to do with the wiper motor function. Pull one or the other and see if it stops your wipers. You can put them in the lifted or tilted position while you do this test so they don't scrape on dry glass. You don't need to raise the hood. If you find one or the other fixes your problem look at replacing that relay. Good luck.
