It costs $500 to have the windsheild replaced. Someone smashed the hell outta mine last halloween.. Call several glass places and get estimates. They come to your house and replace it on the spot. Luckily I had glass coverage so the ins. co. handled everything.

Depending on where you live, your state ussually requires the insurance co. to replace it free of charge.

at least thats how it is in my state.

So we have ranges of $120-$600. Bottom line- grab a yellow pages and call around to several glass places to get estimates.. I really hope it is towards the lower end, but I know for a fact the bill was $500.

insurance: 100$ for aftermarket glass, and I think $150 or $170 for OEM BMW with the mirror holder thingy already attatched.

Of course, I went with the OEM, stright from germany.

(I hit a goose dead-on at about 105 MPH, I presume it's guts were turned into sphagetti-oes)

same deal im going to get once I get that kind of money to spend on my windshield (the least important fix right now). They come right to the car, fix it, and they're on their merry way.
