Hey people. Can anyone refer me to information about replacing or repairing my windshield? i was only doin 90 on the freeway and it was struck by a rock, or a bullet, i donno, but it delivered 2 large cracks. I'm assuming its not cheap, but any information would be appreciated, thanx
It costs $500 to have the windsheild replaced. Someone smashed the hell outta mine last halloween.. Call several glass places and get estimates. They come to your house and replace it on the spot. Luckily I had glass coverage so the ins. co. handled everything.
DAMNNNN 500 i can get all the windows in the car changed. My windshield is cracked right now, i got an estimate on a new one installed, it was like 120.
I live in NY. i dunno how much it will cost anywhere else.

So we have ranges of $120-$600. Bottom line- grab a yellow pages and call around to several glass places to get estimates.. I really hope it is towards the lower end, but I know for a fact the bill was $500.

Hoping i can get it low, but i know i'll end up getting ripped off somehow, urban NYC repair shops are ruthless.... its all about research

same deal im going to get once I get that kind of money to spend on my windshield (the least important fix right now). They come right to the car, fix it, and they're on their merry way.
