I have a question concerning the black window trim that goes above both the driver and passenger side windows. On the passenger side it is peeling and i need to replace it since it looks like total crap

Is there a special adhesive tape or paint or anything else that i can replace it with?
I was thinking sanding off the flaky paint/plastic stuff and then using eurosol from bavauto and painting it? But i also heard there was a tape that would work?
Any suggestions?
