whats your local laws? I did 5% on the back and rear sides, then 35% on the driver/passenger windows, and still had to take off the front windows cuz the cops here have nothing better to do
Missouri
AS-1 / 35% Net / Any / Any / 2002
Enforcement Note : New law removed out-of-state exemption but don't know how the MO State Highway Patrol will deal with that ?
Tint is NO LONGER part of the State Safety Inspection, a plus for MO residents.
Additional Note: Took effect Feb 14, 2002. Original law banned tint on the front side windows but allowed anything behind and then changed in 2001 for 35% NET on ALL windows and in 2002 changed to 35% NET on front side windows but once again, anything behind goes !
I think that with 35% being the legal limit you can do something like 30-25% and get away with it. As I remember the % is the visibility not the darkness so the lower the number the darker the tint. Someone correct me if I am wrong.
By the way where are you from? I live in KC, and never see anyone on here from anywhere close.
i personally dont like tint thats so dark you cant see in the car. i got 35% all around, adds character without being too drastic. i had 5% in back and 20% in front and i never got pulled over, but didnt like the way it looked so i got it redone.
I went for 20% all around. My car is boston green w/ dove grey interior. 20% is the optimum, you can still see out and it looks very nice. I don't think you should get different %'s on the back windows than the side windows, that doesn't look right. Go 20% all around and you'll be happy. Just remember to always put your windows down when you get pulled over.
