I just bought a 1993 318is and there was a problem with the windows and the sunroof. i was playing around with the fuses and found out that if I take out the fuse for the side windows, the sunroof will work but it doesnt work the other way around. If anyone knows of how to fix this please help me, i want to drive it.
I cannot answer you about the fuses, but if you want to close the roof manually pop off the cover cover buy the overhead lights and us an allen key to crank the roof closed... :

Maybe I'm missing something, and it sounds like I am, but maybe you should put the fuses back in....let me know how wrong I am....
I would say put a fuse in for the sunroof and windows that way they will both work.??

i know that I need to have both of the fuses in to have them work, but nothing works if they are both in, and when I take out the fuse for the windows, the sunroof will work. I've tried to switch it around to see if the windows will work but it doesnt do anything. I think something is shorting out.
I think that it had an amp because there is a "hot" wire taped under the trunk carpet. also there is a 10 disk changer that was not stock. thats all that i know of
also when i test for power in the fuses, the windows have power on both sides of the fuse and the sunroof only has power to onr, but when I take out the windows fuse, there is power on both sides of the fuse for the sunroof.
You need to change the COMFORT RELAY. It is located either under the steering wheel (as on my '93 325is) or behind the glove box compartment. When this relay fails you get all sorts of random problems with your electric windows and sunroof.
If its the comfort relay nothing would work at all. Really have no idea on this one, maybe you need some pro help.
