Window squeak (lubricate windows?) - BMW Forum

First time poster... go easy on me.
I just purchased my first BMW 02 325 convert

I've noticed after my most recent wash that the power windows squeak a bit going up and down... is there something somebody can recommend to condition or lubricate the stripping or "window gasket"? I looked through the cleaning threads and couldn't find anything...

I have the same problem! Also wondering what the fix is. I suppose any kind of lubricant would smear the glass. I guess we could for a seal softener of some kind?

hey buddy, welcome to the forums... we'll start with this...

since you said your car is an 02, that would be considered an e46. not an e36...

as to your window squeeking problem... your best bet, is to go to a place like, autobarn, pep boys, or a place like that.. and buy window greese... and it works wonders...
