Window Sensor

Hey all,
I have a 96 318is and I have a problem with the window sensor that is in the door latch. When I am driving, every once in awhile my drivers window opens just a bit and my interior light comes on. I looked at the sensor and it looks worn where the striker hits it.
Is this a dealer only part or are there aftermarkets available?

I would assume it is a OEM part, but even with shipping you could find it for cheaper online.

Is your location stratford on avon? Or does On mean like ontario, was just curious heh

I'm in Ontario Canada, it's just like on avon but the people here are older

its just a regular swicth used on small electronic applications.
Look for electornics suppliers to find one that machtes closely to what you need.

Or you can go to bavauto and email them with the part number of the part and they will sell it to you at a very good price, lower than dealer..

pelicanparts will also do the same. In fact, you can special order it right off their website. You just have to enter the part number and they take care of the rest.

thanks guys, two part epoxy is working for now, i'll look into your suggestions
